COX AUTOMOTIVE ACQUIRES FLEETMASTER

Cox Automotive has acquired FleetMaster – a leap forward in our mission to help fleets of the future be their best.
FleetMaster is a cloud-based software business that delivers rental, lease and dealer fleet operations solutions to rental companies, dealerships and auto manufacturers.
Now part of the Cox Automotive family, FleetMaster will be part of Cox Automotive Mobility – a division focused on developing a fleet services and utilisation marketplace; a one-stop shop that maximises the value of a fleet asset from in-fleeting to de-fleeting.
Cox Automotive Mobility believe in an autonomous/aerial, connected, electric and shared (ACES) future and predict that a lot of these vehicles will be owned by fleets. Based on their research, fleets and technology will play a more significant role in the mobility future, resulting in significant increases in miles travelled per vehicle and a more frequent need for service and maintenance.
This is why the acquisition of FleetMaster is a hugely exciting time for Cox Automotive and the Mobility division. It further expands our capabilities to serve both domestic and international markets across all mobility use cases, including rental, loaner, flexible access/subscription services and lease vehicles.
FleetMaster was founded in 2011, started commercialisation in 2014 and employs approximately 60 team members, including outsource partners for development and implementation. FleetMaster has offices in Ghent, Belgium and Long Beach, California.
There will be no change to the operations of FleetMaster, and the four co-founders will continue to run the business reporting to Martin Forbes, President of Cox Automotive International.

WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT?

NEXT, formally our HR Tools programme, has officially formed a team made up of experts from across Cox Enterprises.
The team will be working together over the few years to transform the way HR operates across Cox Enterprises, driving a consistent team member experience globally – with a big future impact.
It will provide a platform that standardises processes across divisions and locations, enables self-service and will be accessible anytime, anywhere and from any device.
This is our first-ever global transformation project across Cox Enterprises, so what has the team been up to?
THE PROGRAMME HAS REBRANDED FROM HR TOOLS TO 'NEXT' - ALIGNING WITH IT'S AMBITION TO TAKE THE EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL BY EMPOWERING A MODERN AND CONNECTED EXPERIENCE;
THEY HAVE ALSO SHAPED THEIR VISION - GIVING MEMBERS OF THE TEAM A COMBINED GOAL TO WORK TOWARDS: "WE WILL CREATE OPPORTUNITIES, AGILITY AND GROWTH FOR OUR PEOPLE AND OUR BUSINESS THROUGH A MODERN, CONNECTED EXPERIENCE THAT DRIVES SMART DECISION-MAKING AND A CULTURE OF EMPOWERMENT."
THE TEAM HAS ALSO DEFINED ITS PRINCIPLES AND PROCESS DESIGN BEFORE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHING THE PROGRAMME ACROSS COX ENTERPRISES.
