ALCOHOL AND DRUG AWARENESS AUSTRALIA – WORKPLACE PROGRAM LAUNCH

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers team members and their immediate family members 24 hour access to a confidential range of psychology and professional advice services in the areas of mental health; domestic and family violence; legal and financial expertise; and dietary and wellbeing coaching.
Each year we run refresher and onboarding sessions with our partners to ensure all existing and new team members are up to date on the comprehensive suite of services available to them.
CAA has also launched a partnership with Alcohol and Drug Awareness Australia (ADA) to provide Australian and New Zealand team members access to a progressive workplace program in the areas of mental health and substance use disorders.
After overwhelmingly positive feedback on a November pilot in Melbourne, the program, which is facilitated by individuals with lived experience of related challenges, was launched to all team members across both countries.
ADA offer a comprehensive range of counselling services, collateral, webinars and online resources to support those experiencing struggles with their mental health and/or substance use.
This program is particularly pertinent since the Covid pandemic which has seen Team Members and their family members facing significant challenges – especially in Melbourne which saw one of the longest and harshest lock downs across the globe in 2020.
Like the EAP, the program is 24/7 and 100% confidential so Team Members can be assured of privacy and they can access the support in the privacy of their own home.
Cox Automotive Australia and New Zealand has recently refreshed one of its wellbeing initiatives and launched another which together form part of a holistic approach to managing wellbeing and mental health in the workplace.
MANHEIM SELLS BRISBANE’S ABANDONED CARS
Queensland Manheim business recently caught the eye of local television news channels who were featuring abandoned cars recovered by Brisbane City Council.
The stories featured Brisbane Lord Mayor inspecting vehicles and Manheim’s General Manager – Queensland and Northern Territory, Sean Kinsey, highlighting the potential bargains that are available to consumers looking for a secondhand car.
With Sean’s comments captured on video and a bit of humour thrown in, the package was great publicity for the Queensland business.
Sean is a great example of someone who has taken the opportunity to develop his career by progressing through many different roles within Cox Automotive.
