Cox Automotive Europe has announced it will be supporting charity Make a Wish Foundation in 2021.

The charity, who has a presence throughout the UK and Europe, aims to grant every critically ill child a wish that is unique to them.

From meeting their sporting hero, to a dream holiday – Make a Wish Foundation works tirelessly to make every wish a reality. Cox Automotive Europe has already raised almost £4,000 for Make a Wish Foundation through its charity raffle at The Autos 2021 – enough to grant a wish for two critically ill children. The team will continue to support the charity through fundraising activities across the year… Watch this space!

Manheim in Cox Automotive Australia has been working with charity partner ‘Kids Under Cover’ (KUC) since 2006.

As part of KUC’s ‘Donate your Car’ programme, Manheim auctioned off donated cars from the public in their regular auction channels. Manheim supports the whole process – from arranging and booking the transport of the vehicles, to processing the vehicles and preparing them for sale, as well as all the administration and collection of buyer payments.

The funds raised from the sale of the donated cars is given to the charity who performs important work to help prevent youth homelessness in Australia. The partnership is a natural fit for Manheim and the nature of the support ensures many Manheim team members play a hands-on role in the success of the programme.

Since 2006, the team has sold approximately 27,000 donated cars and helped KUC to raise more than $12.5m to help end youth homelessness.

During the months of July and August 2020, team members from Cox Automotive Canada came together to give back to their communities – whilst keeping six feet apart.

Working with local food banks in Edmonton, Milton, Mississauga, Montreal and Halifax, team members put their volunteer efforts and hours toward gathering and purchasing food and other items for Canadian families in need.

Combined with a financial donation from the company, Canada’s food drive efforts supported communities with the equivalent of more than 7,500 meals – or roughly enough to feed 20 families of four for an entire month!
